Achieving for Children's Education Business Partnership (EBP) works in partnership with local businesses, schools, training providers and other community partners to enable access for young people to work-based learning opportunities through traineeships and apprenticeships. The EBP also delivers a tailored work experience service that provides high quality placements, which provide exciting opportunities to develop employability skills and investigate potential career pathways. The EBP is also directly working with young people who are not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET). We can help you investigate careers options and support you on the route to get there. The options will be explained to you at an initial 1:1 session.
For young people with Special Educational Needs or a disability (SEND) who are NEET, and who want to get paid work, are available/able to progress to working 16hrs per week with short term support, and can travel independently within the local area; bespoke support is available from our SEND Opportunities Co-ordinator, who can help you find work experience/employment, help you with CVs and interviews and work with local employers to develop and increase the opportunities available. You will also be mentored for six months after starting an apprenticeship or finding a job, to make sure you are progressing well.
If you (or your young person aged 16-18) are NEET and would like some support, in the first instances, please contact:
