Where can you find information on activities?

You can see from the list above that children and young people have accessed a wide range of activities as "Short Breaks" using Aiming High Funding.  Achieving for Children are working to the improve amount and quality information about Short Break activities on the Local Offer.  Currently the Local Offer only includes specialist activities for children and young people with SEND.

Later in 2017, AfC plan to link into an expanded directory which will contain information on mainstream activities (activities that all children and young people can take part in) for children and young people. We hope that this will make it easier to find information all in one place.

Until then, you can search for specialist leisure and social activities within the "Services Directory" on this website. Using the link below you can view providers who offer activities or details of individual activity clubs.

Leisure and social activities search

You can filter a search by using keywords such as football or drama. We are always adding new information so if you can't find what you are looking for please keep checking back.

One off, special and holiday activities

You can search or explore the events calendar and filter by events for a specific condition such as. Unless stated all events are pan disability or SEN.

How you can help

The list on this website is not exhaustive. You may already be taking part in activities or you may find a new club and notice that they are not listed.

Why not either:

  • Let the activity provider know that they can register on the site to add their own organisation details to the directory and the calendar. the instructions to help them do this are here Applying to be part of the Local Offer (opens a page on this site)
  • Telling us about the activity using the "Contact us " form on this site.
