Further Education colleges can provide additional support for young people who may need that extra help to progress in their learning.  This additional support is focused on addressing barriers to learning faced by young people. This may be in the form of additional classroom assistants, or smaller group sizes or help with scribing in exams.   In a small number of cases, some social care support may be provided.
