Description of activity

Richmond Association for the Blind is a registered charity working locally to provide support to blind, partially sighted and deaf/blind people throughout the Borough of Richmond. Our staff and trained volunteers work together to provide a range of high quality services, information, advice and training, all aimed at helping visually impaired people to lead independent lives.

We offer the following services in Richmond:

Home Visiting Service
We provide a home visiting service assisting people from all walks of life who suffer from sight loss, the three case studies below reflect this.

Resource Centres
The Association has four resource centres equipped with daily living aids for people with a visual impairment. Our new resource centre for Richmond is located at The Resource Room, 1-3 Richmond Road, Twickenham, TW1 3AB.

We offer one-to-one IT training. The course teaches clients basic computer use using accessibility software. Visual impairment awareness training is also available. Please contact us to find out more details or to put your name on the waiting list for training.

Richmond Association for the Blind is part of Middlesex Association for the Blind (MAB), registered charity No. 207007.
