Description of activity
We are a team of registered children’s nurses who work with parents and carers of children with acute, chronic, complex health or palliative care needs. These children may require intravenous antibiotics, post-operative care, wound checks, home oxygen and vital signs monitoring e.g. blood pressure.
We aim to provide nursing care, support and education needed to enable parents and carers to manage their child’s condition at home. Where possible, we also work to enable early discharge from hospital and avoid hospital readmissions.

Referrals are accepted for children who have a Richmond GP. Children visiting the borough can be seen.
The child must be under 18 at the time of referral (18 if they have a Statement of Special Educational Needs).
Referrals are accepted from anyone, including health care professionals, educational services and social services as well as parents and carers
