Description of activity
The Podiatry service offers biomechanical assessment and gait analysis.
Patients with musculoskeletal problems in their feet or lower limbs can be assessed and if appropriate, functional orthotics prescribed.
The Trust has a Podiatry Biomechanics Orthotic laboratory based at Richmond Rehabilitation Unit, which enables the manufacture and fitting of functional orthotics on site. Patients can be prescribed and fitted with orthotics all in one visit.
The service is provided by the podiatry team, led by a specialist Biomechanical Podiatrist.
Patients need to be referred to this service by a health or social care professional. Patients must also be registered with a Richmond GP.
This service is open to children and adults.
Consultation is by appointment only.
