All of our families of children currently in Year 5 should have received an invitation to our SEND Year 5 Secondary Information Event.
The purpose of this event is to support parents and young people understand the Secondary Transfer process and to provide information on what is available in our local community schools for children with Education, Health and Care Plans at a secondary level. The event is specifically for our Year 5 students and their families only.
The event will be held from 5pm – 6.30pm on the following days (please note that this time has been moved forward from the original time due to the World Cup semi final):

The event will provide:
An opportunity to walk through the ‘Secondary Transfer’ process with a presentation from the SEND Team (AfC) followed by a question and answer session
The opportunity for parents and year 5 children to talk with representatives from each Maintained Secondary and Special School in Kingston, as well as members of the SEND team (AfC)
