A consultation for children, young people, parents and families has been launched by the Government to gain feedback about their new proposals for improving children and young people's mental health.

The Government says that: "Improving support for children and young people’s mental health is a top priority for this government. This green paper on children and young people’s mental health aims to ensure that those who need it are able to access the right help for their mental health, in the right place and at the right time. It focuses on earlier intervention and prevention, particularly in or linked to schools and colleges".

The consultation is open to anyone, including those who have experience of mental ill-health or know someone close to them who has such experience.

The consultation will remain open until 2nd March 2018 at 12pm.
