Are you the parent or carer of a child with additional needs?
Would you like to take a little bit of time for yourself to recharge your batteries before the school pick up?
Why not try our Yoga Nidra class for parents and carers which takes place from 1.30 to 2.15 every Tuesday lunchtime during term time.
It is led by Sona who is a British Wheel of Yoga Teacher 2005 and Satyananda Yoga Nidra Teacher 2014.
Sona says: Yoga brings harmony and we naturally feel better on a mental, physical and emotional level and as we're guided back to our higher awareness. In these highly effective sessions you'll feel a sense of peace, calm and lightness in the mind and body.
The first part of the class will focus on practicing gentle, flowing movements so the body feels loose yet strong. Then we'll move to the Yoga Nidra which means 'sleep'. The aim however is to stay alert and awake whilst the deep relaxation takes place as a result of listening and feeling as you're guided through an inner journey.
Please wear loose, comfortable, layered clothing to stay warm and bring along a yoga mat.
These yoga sessions are free of charge but donations are welcome.
